The Team
Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.
As a Senior Consultant / Manager in our T&T Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- 7–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 3–4 years in a lead/managerial role
- Strong hands-on expertise in one programming language:
- Python or Java or Scala (mandatory depth)
- Extensive experience with AWS data ecosystem, including:
- S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift
- Kinesis, Kakfa
- EMR / Spark / Databricks on AWS
- Lambda, Step Functions
- Airflow
- Strong Spark and distributed data processing experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Spark-based processing
- Experience designing data lakes (raw, curated, consumption layers)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets

DevOps & Engineering Practices
- CI/CD, Git-based workflows
- Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation / Terraform – good to have)
- Monitoring, logging, and performance tuning
Education Qualification- B.Tech / BE
Architecture & Data Platform Design
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data lakes
- Strong understanding of:
- Batch and near-real-time processing
- Data contracts, schema evolution
- Multi-layered data architectures
- Experience with Iceberg / Delta / Hudi is a plus
Engineering Excellence
- Strong grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering
- Familiarity with security, IAM, encryption, and governance best practices
Good to Have
- Experience in consulting or large transformation programs
- Exposure to GenAI/data platforms, ML data pipelines, or advanced analytics use cases
- AWS Certifications (Data Analytics / Solutions Architect – preferred)
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling for analytics
- Data Warehouse
- Batch and (good-to-have) streaming architectures
- Schema evolution and metadata management
- Knowledge of Apache Iceberg / Delta Lake / Hudi (good to have)
Location and way of working:
- Base location: Bangalore
- This profile involves travelling to client locations.
