Our team provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data catalog, data quality, metadata and lineage capabilities that support fact-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in data governance, data catalog, data quality management and metadata management, including modern governance platforms such as Collibra.

Your work profile

The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for supporting end-to-end implementation, configuration and administration of data governance capabilities using Collibra, with a strong focus on Collibra Data Catalog and Collibra Data Quality.

This role works closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, data owners, engineering teams and client stakeholders to translate governance requirements into scalable, well-documented and sustainable governance solutions.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Catalog and Collibra Data Quality, including configuration, workflows and administration.
• Functional understanding of data quality, metadata management and data lineage concepts and practices.
• Working experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python) for scripting, automation or integration purposes.
• Support the design and implementation of data cataloging, classification and metadata management processes.
• Configure and maintain data quality rules, scorecards and dashboards within Collibra Data Quality.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards and data owners to define and maintain governance workflows.
• Support data lineage mapping and documentation across source systems and downstream consumers.
• Drive governance review discussions, issue resolution and stewardship activities.
• Define governance standards, best practices and reusable frameworks for catalog and data quality management.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with security, regulatory, governance and data privacy standards.
• Provide guidance and support to business and technical teams on governance tooling and processes.
• Work closely with data engineering and platform teams to integrate governance processes into data pipelines.
• Support pre-sales and internal enablement activities including documentation, presentations and stakeholder discussions.
• Lead multiple governance initiatives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and governance discipline.
• Create strong documentation, governance artefacts, presentations and process materials for technical and business audiences.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts, data cataloging, metadata management and data lineage.
• Good to have: working experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong stakeholder management, client-facing communication, problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Data governance and cataloging: Collibra Data Catalog, Collibra Data Quality, data classification, metadata management and data lineage.
• Programming: working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python for scripting and automation.
• Cloud (good to have): exposure to AWS cloud services and AWS-based data ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education - B. Tech / BE in Computer Science or Information Technology.
