Job Title: Consultant | Fusion Financials | Chennai | Oracle
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Fusion Financials Consultant to implement, configure, and support Oracle Fusion Financials modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Cash Management (CM), Lease Management (LM), and Fixed Assets (FA). The successful candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise and excel in managing full-cycle implementations and supporting end-to-end financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation & Configuration:
- Lead the design, implementation, and customization of Oracle Fusion Financials modules: AP, GL, CM, LM, and FA.
- Configure setups for financial modules, such as chart of accounts, journal approval workflows, payment methods, cash reconciliation, asset books, and lease contracts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define financial reporting requirements.
- Business Process Mapping:
- Analyze and document current business processes and map them to Oracle Fusion Financials best practices.
- Provide recommendations to optimize financial workflows and system capabilities.
- Data Migration & Integration:
- Manage the migration of legacy financial data (e.g., GL balances, payables, fixed assets) into Oracle Fusion using tools like FBDI, ADF, and HDL.
- Integrate Oracle Fusion Financials with other modules (e.g., Procurement, Projects) and third-party systems using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Testing & Support:
- Develop and execute test scenarios, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and address enhancement requests for financial modules.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance teams, project managers, and technical consultants to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing system performance.
- Deliver training sessions for end-users and create detailed process documentation.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure financial systems meet compliance requirements, including IFRS, GAAP, and local regulatory standards.
- Develop custom financial reports and dashboards using OTBI, Smart View, and BI Publisher.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle Financials modules (AP, GL, CM, LM, FA), including at least 2 full lifecycle Oracle Fusion implementations.
- Strong understanding of financial processes like journal entries, bank reconciliation, accounts payable processing, lease accounting, and asset depreciation.
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion tools, including FBDI, ADF, BI Publisher, OTBI, and Smart View.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to create and manage functional documentation, BR100s, and configuration documents.
- SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Financials Cloud Certification for relevant modules.
- Experience in managing global rollouts, multi-currency setups, and multi-organization configurations.
- Knowledge of advanced topics like SLA (Subledger Accounting), cash forecasting, and tax setups.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for middleware integration.
