Job Title: IBM App Connect Developer


About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IBM App Connect Junior Developer to join our Integration team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of enterprise integration projects, collaborate with senior architects, and contribute to the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • Build message flows, transformations, and mappings using ESQL, Java, and other supported technologies.
  • Work with different data formats including XML, JSON, CSV, and SOAP.
  • Integrate applications using various communication protocols (HTTP, MQ, REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.).
  • Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
  • Maintain proper documentation for integration flows and configurations.
  • Participate in deployment processes and support activities in various environments (DEV, TEST, PROD).

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in integration development using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Good understanding of integration patterns and enterprise messaging concepts.
  • Experience with IBM MQ, REST/SOAP web services, and API integrations.
  • Working knowledge of ESQL, Java, or XSLT for message transformation.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of error handling, logging, and monitoring in integration solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud integration (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBM Certified Developer – App Connect Enterprise or Integration Bus.
  • Experience with DataPower, API Connect, or Kafka.
  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
