Job Title:  Consultant | SAP BI/BO | Chennai | SAP

Role Summary:

The SAP BI Consultant is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and enhancing SAP BI/BW systems to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable reporting for business users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide production support for SAP BI/BW reports, queries, and data loads
• Monitor daily data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) jobs
• Analyze and resolve data issues, load failures, and performance problems
• Work with functional and business teams to understand reporting requirements
• Develop and enhance BW objects such as InfoProviders, DataSources, and Queries
• Perform data reconciliation between source systems and BW reports
• Support month-end and business-critical reporting activities
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
• Coordinate with BASIS, ABAP, and upstream system teams as needed
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, governance, and support processes

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SAP BW / BI (BW on HANA preferred)
• Experience with data models, queries, and process chains
• Good understanding of SAP ECC/S/4HANA source modules
• Hands-on experience in production support and incident handling
• Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging (good to have)
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in SAP BI/BW support or development
