Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Performance Engineering activities across enterprise applications.
• Define Performance Test Strategy, Test Plans and execution approach.
• Design and review Locust and JMeter frameworks.
• Conduct NFR workshops and workload modelling sessions with business and architecture teams.
• Lead execution of Load, Stress, Spike, Soak and Endurance testing.
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis across application, middleware, database and infrastructure layers.
• Mentor performance engineers and perform technical reviews.
• Collaborate with Architects, Development, DevOps and SRE teams to improve application scalability and reliability.
• Present performance findings, recommendations and risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Drive Performance Engineering best practices and CI/CD adoption.
• Preferred Profile
• Experience leading small to medium-sized Performance Engineering teams.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cloud-native applications, container platforms and distributed systems.
• Ability to drive technical discussions independently.
• 3-6 years’ experience as a QA Automation Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Serenity, and Java
• Hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured
• Proficient in SQL queries and data validation across relational databases
• Experience working with Oracle and/or Teradata
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration
• Working knowledge of Linux, scripting, SQL Server, and data warehouse environments
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools such as Copilot, Claude is a plus
• Experience working in agile delivery teams

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Serenity
• Build and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured
• Perform database validation, SQL query testing, and data consistency checks
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins or similar tools
• Test data platform, ETL processes, file transfers, and Data APIs
• Conduct various test types such as UI/UX validation, API, database, system, and performance testing
• Analyze results, root cause defects, and ensure resolution across complex data and telecom environments
• Work with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and ETL tools
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools such as Copilot to improve automation efficiency
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product owners to ensure high-quality builds

Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
