Role Overview
The Consultant – Oracle Financials is an execution-focused delivery role responsible for supporting implementation, configuration, testing, and support of Oracle Fusion Financials modules. The role requires foundational functional knowledge of finance processes and Oracle Cloud Financials, with the ability to work under guidance of Senior Consultants and Managers to deliver high-quality finance transformation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Financials Implementation & Support
- Support configuration and implementation of Oracle Fusion Financials modules including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Cash Management (CM)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Expenses
- Assist in requirements gathering sessions and documentation
- Prepare configuration workbooks and support system setups
- Execute unit testing and support SIT and UAT cycles
- Assist in data migration validation and reconciliation activities
- Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution
Functional Support & Process Understanding
- Understand core finance processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Support mapping of business requirements to Oracle Cloud Financials functionality
- Assist in preparation of functional design documents (FDDs) and process flow diagrams
- Help identify process improvement opportunities aligned with Oracle best practices
- Support period-end close activities and reconciliation processes
Reporting & Integrations Support
- Assist in developing OTBI and BI Publisher reports
- Support data extracts, reconciliation reports, and audit requirements
- Coordinate with technical teams for integrations using OIC or file-based integrations
- Assist in validating inbound and outbound interface data
Client Interaction & Collaboration
- Participate in client workshops and status meetings
- Provide support during UAT and training sessions
- Document meeting notes, action items, and solution decisions
- Communicate clearly with functional and technical stakeholders
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work under guidance of Senior Consultants and Managers
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Financials practice
- Contribute to documentation templates and reusable artifacts
- Actively pursue Oracle Financials certifications
- Stay updated with quarterly Oracle Cloud releases
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- 1–3 years of experience in Oracle Financials or ERP finance implementations
- Basic hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials modules
- Understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
- Experience in testing and documentation activities
- Experience working in a global delivery or offshore model
Preferred
- Exposure to at least one end-to-end Oracle Financials implementation
- Experience with OTBI / BI Publisher reporting
- Exposure to integrations (OIC)
- Oracle Financials certification(s)
