Analyst - Sustainability

 

We are seeking a motivated Analyst to join our growing team in Sri Lanka. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global team and work with a diverse range of clients across various sectors, helping them navigate the complexities of sustainability in a dynamic and rapidly developing market. As part of our collaborative team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and local experts to deliver innovative solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities in Sri Lanka. You will gain exposure to a wide range of sustainability issues, from climate change and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration to circular economy principles and sustainable finance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of client engagements across various sustainability areas, including strategy development, GHG emissions accounting, climate scenario analysis, and social impact assessment and sustainability reporting.
  • Ensure project timelines, milestones and deliverables are met in accordance with client expectations.
  • Conduct research and analysis on climate change impacts, carbon markets, and emerging sustainability trends.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, Identify, and engage with stakeholders ensuring a good understanding of their business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal and client presentation preparation, responding to RFPs by collaborating across competencies / alliances / service lines.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in sustainability best practices, regulations, and reporting frameworks.
  • Support in Opportunity tracking, team administration and skills development activities.

Key Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Management, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of key sustainability concepts, including climate change, GHG emissions, carbon neutrality, decarbonisation, and energy transitions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning, with a growth mindset.
  • A strong team player with the multi-tasking abilities and the ability to work with minimum guidance and supervision and foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in ESG/sustainability or climate-related areas is preferred. However, fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
