Job Title: SRT : Director / Associate Director - Strategy and Transactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Corporate Finance engagements, including business valuations, financial feasibility studies, commercial due diligence and market assessments
- Lead and contribute to corporate planning and strategy engagements, particularly relating to organic and inorganic growth, business rationalisation, diversification and inbound/outbound market entry
- Actively engage in deal origination activities, maintaining an active transaction pipeline and leading or contributing to buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory engagements
- Drive business development and client relationship management, identifying new opportunities and building external relationships to support the growth of the Strategy & Transactions practice
- Advise senior executives, boards, investors, and other stakeholders on complex corporate finance, M&A and strategic matters
- Lead and critically review financial models, business and financial analyses, valuation conclusions and transaction deliverables, ensuring technical robustness, commercial relevance and consistently high-quality output
- Manage engagements from scoping through completion, including project economics, resourcing, timelines, risks, quality and senior client stakeholders
- Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams, while collaborating effectively across Deloitte's local and international network
- Contribute to market development, thought leadership and go-to-market initiatives, including identifying opportunities to bring the wider firm's capabilities to clients
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience, including substantial hands-on experience in business and equity valuations for M&A, financial reporting, regulatory/compliance and strategic advisory purposes, with exposure to listed, regulated and multinational businesses
- Strong expertise in business, equity and financial instrument valuations, complex financial modelling, financial analysis and feasibility studies, with the ability to independently lead assignments, critically review analysis and assumptions, assess key risks and present findings
- Demonstrated experience in debt/equity raising, buy-side and sell-side transactions and new market entry assignments, including coordinating multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Experience in commercial due diligence, business reorganisation and balance-sheet restructuring would be highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline, together with CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualifications
- Qualifications or a strong academic background in Engineering, Mathematics or another quantitative discipline would be an advantage. RICS or a similar Chartered Valuer qualification would also be advantageous
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, with working knowledge of Power BI and exposure to Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Mergermarket or similar financial and transaction databases
- Strong commercial acumen and business development capabilities, including contributing to proposals and pitches, developing client relationships and supporting business origination
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with senior management, boards, shareholders, investors, lenders and other transaction stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead complex engagements and high-performing teams, provide technical review and coaching, and maintain high standards of quality and professional judgement
- Strong project and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements, competing priorities and demanding deadlines effectively
