Job Overview

Deloitte Sri Lanka is seeking a dynamic and versatile candidate as Associate Analyst to join our Infrastructure & Real Estate team within the Strategy, Risk & Transactions function. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inward investment, commercial assessments, market / industry research, financial analysis, business / commercial advisory, and infrastructure & policy development. You will work closely with experienced professionals to support business development initiatives, advisory engagements, and strategic projects across both the public and private sectors as well as donor agencies.

Research

  • Conduct primary research and develop databases of industry statistics
  • Perform financial analysis and build qualitative and quantitative databases on listed companies and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs)
  • Review industry reports, market intelligence, and external research
  • Leverage internal research databases and benchmarks to develop high-quality client proposals and advisory deliverables

Functional responsibilities:

  • Client engagement delivery
  • Working with Deloitte regional teams
  • Business development and project management activities
  • Client proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions
  • Preparation of reports and presentation materials
  • Ensure compliance with Deloitte's internal risk management processes and global quality standards for all new clients and engagements
  • Support cross-functional engagements within the Strategy, Risk & Transactions practice

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related discipline or equivalent professional accountancy qualifications
  • 0-1 years of experience in research, financial analysis, consulting, infrastructure, real estate, corporate finance, or a related field is preferred. (Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials are also encouraged to apply)
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of financial modelling and financial statement analysis will be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
