Role: Analyst – Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
Role Overview
The Analyst – Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and monitoring of integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud. The role focuses on learning integration concepts, assisting in building simple integrations, and supporting delivery teams in implementing end-to-end integration solutions across Oracle Fusion, EBS, and third-party applications.
Key Responsibilities
OIC Development & Support
- Assist in developing integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Support creation of simple integrations (app-driven, scheduled, file-based)
- Work with OIC adapters such as REST, SOAP, FTP, and ERP Cloud
- Help in configuring lookups, basic mappings, and integration flows
- Support deployment and migration of integrations across environments
Testing & Validation
- Execute unit testing for integrations and validate data flows
- Support SIT and UAT cycles by preparing test data and validating outputs
- Assist in troubleshooting integration errors and resolving defects
- Monitor integration runs and logs under guidance
Functional & Technical Understanding
- Learn integration patterns and middleware concepts
- Understand basic Oracle Fusion modules (Financials, SCM, HCM) from an integration perspective
- Assist in documenting integration requirements and technical specifications
- Support data validation and reconciliation activities
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare integration documentation such as mapping documents and test cases
- Maintain trackers for defects, test results, and deployment activities
- Document error logs, issue resolutions, and lessons learned
Client Interaction & Collaboration
- Participate in internal team meetings and client calls
- Assist in preparing status updates and reports
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand requirements
- Provide support during UAT and go-live activities
Learning & Development
- Actively learn Oracle Integration Cloud features and best practices
- Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Work towards Oracle OIC certification
- Build foundational knowledge in REST APIs, JSON/XML, and cloud integration concepts
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- 0–2 years of experience in integration, development, or Oracle Cloud technologies
- Basic understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), XML/JSON
- Strong willingness to learn Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a global delivery / team environment
Preferred
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA, or any middleware tool
- Basic understanding of Oracle Fusion Applications
- Knowledge of SQL or scripting
- Internship or project experience in integrations or APIs
