The team
Real Assets Advisory includes comprehensive services offered to our member firms which includes services such as valuation and PPA analysis, audit services, advisory & market research, IFRS & US GAAP accounting, portfolio services, lease accounting & administration, strategic consulting, etc.
We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ business modelling practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

Your work profile
As an Assistant Manager in our I&RE ICC Team you’ll wide range of public and private sector assignments you might work on with the UK, Canada, Japan, Middle East, Australia and other global teams, such as:
- Support the development of key documents for a transaction including specialist finance raising, M&A and commercial contract negotiation advice
- Advise private and public sector clients for infrastructure, energy and public services sectors.
- Energy and wider infrastructure related M&A services and equity capital raising
- Major infrastructure and capital programmes, Government led reorganisations and restructurings, Public sector transformation, Project and PFI/PPP financing, Privatisations and outsourcings
- Advising our clients on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Supporting the day-to-day management of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis and taking responsibility for the preparation of information and client communications.
- Responsibility for compliance related aspects of transactions.
- Industry research for both deal origination and transaction analysis.
- Supporting marketing and business development opportunities.
- Preparing / Reviewing financial analysis, including complex analysis and financial models.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support onshore client conversations
- Working with global I&RE teams on their data requirement & management information strategies
- Taking ownership for quality and risk management, ensuring that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Deloitte quality and risk rules and guidelines;
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution,
- Expectation would be to add value on complex and high-profile projects under tight timelines
- Support the management leads with practice and internal/external business development activities
Key skills required:
In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modelling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:
- MBA degree (Finance/Project Management) or equivalent qualification; ME (Civil Engineering) or equivalent
- BE (Civil Engineering)/ BCom/BBA or equivalent
- Excellent track record and strong academic achievements
- You need to be an analytical problem solver with developed sector knowledge and exposure.
- Experience in infrastructure (renewable energy, construction, road, rail, port, aviation, metro/transit) and public sector or government sector is required, along with project management experience.
- Professional qualification is a plus. M&A/PM/PMO and stakeholder engagement experience will be of particular relevance.
- You will work on diverse assignments, providing strategic advisory on government and infrastructure projects, conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and presentations, and engaging with geography team to solve complex problems and support client conversations.
- Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide world class client service.
- Experience in a commercial, procurement and/or commercial focussed role within government, a private sector bidder or another advisory firm working on one or more of: PPP, project finance, outsourcing, franchising or similar service contracts;
- M&A lead advisory experience with direct experience of managing transactions on a day-to-day basis (desirable);
- Experience working under an FCA regulatory environment (desirable);
- An excellent understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of renewable energy and wider infrastructure sector;
- Experience in secondary research, industry research (identifying themes/trends), company profiles, pitch books, information memorandums, and financial analysis for infrastructure, renewable energy and public sector;
- Previous experience with leading corporate institution, consulting firms or Big 4 firms;
- Experience of designing and building financial models would be an advantage;
- Working knowledge of data sources such as IJGlobal, Inframation, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson etc. would be an asset;
- Proficiency with MS office suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of designing and building complex financial analysis;
