Role Summary

The Associate Director will lead the HR operations, payroll and compliance function, ensuring strategic alignment, regulatory adherence and operational excellence. The role involves driving governance frameworks, managing risk and partnering with business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Account Management

·       Act as a senior advisor and escalation point for employees

·       Ensure delivery excellence aligned with SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations

 

Statutory Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Overall accountability for HR Operate, Payroll Processing, Payroll and Labour Law compliance.
  • Support in all government inspections, audits, legal cases, and high‑risk compliance matters.
  • Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns and filings.

 

Payroll & Workforce Governance

  • Provide oversight on payroll governance, escalations, and compliance risks.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payout of salaries, statutory deductions, and benefits.
  • Govern PMS, increment cycles, and salary revisions.

 

Stakeholder & Global Engagement

  • Act as senior SPOC for leadership, auditors and regulators.
  • Review and publish monthly workforce dashboards and leadership insights.
  • Support contract compliance requirements for clients and statutory audits at client sites.

 

Crisis & Special Cases Management

  • Oversee Mediclaim escalation handling.
  • Ensure business continuity during compliance or workforce crises.

 

Key skills required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Commerce/ Business Administration/ Human Resources/ Finance, MBA in HR / Finance / Operations.
  • 12–15+ years of experience in HR operations & statutory compliance
  • Deep expertise in Indian labour laws, audits, and government liaison
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic execution skills
