The Team:
The Resource management team in Deloitte India helps with the process of staffing client projects with appropriate available staff who have the right skill. It involves the process of planning, scheduling, and allocating practitioners to maximize project efficiency. The team helps monitor variances between planned vs. scheduled vs. actuals and increase utilization by optimizing the available capacity.
Your work profile.
Primary purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced workforce management/resource management professional with 10+ years of experience, preferably in the Audit business space with an understanding of the audit project lifecycle and related compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for effectively managing staff allocation, capacity planning, bench and utilization to support audit engagements and assurance services. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage resource planning, allocation, and forecasting for Audit and Assurance teams to ensure optimal utilization and timely delivery of audit engagements.
- Collaborate with audit managers and partners to understand staffing needs, project timelines, and skill requirements.
- Monitor resource availability, skills inventory, and capacity to proactively identify gaps and recommend hiring or training initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on resource utilization, productivity, and project status for senior management.
- Coordinate with HR and recruitment teams to support talent acquisition and onboarding for audit professionals.
- Facilitate workforce planning discussions to align audit demand with resource supply and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements related to staffing and resource management.
- Drive process improvements in resource scheduling, allocation, and performance tracking.
- Manage and mentor a team of resource coordinators or analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management within an Audit and Assurance environment, with overall 10+ years' experience in Resource Management.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in resource management tools, project management software, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with workforce planning, capacity management, and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Big Four or large audit firms.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in audit (e.g., data analytics, automation).
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
