The Team

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice works closely with public sector institutions to address complex governance, institutional, and socio-economic challenges. The team supports clients in policy formulation, programme design, and evaluation, translating macro-level policy frameworks into implementable and measurable outcomes. With strong expertise in governance analysis, public policy, and stakeholder engagement, the team delivers research-driven insights to enable effective decision-making.

Your work profile

·      We are looking for a Public Policy and Governance professional with 10+ years of experience to support policy advisory, research, and programme evaluation initiatives.

·      The role involves analyzing government policies, preparing research outputs, supporting programme design, and engaging with multiple stakeholders to drive effective implementation of policy initiatives.

Key skills required: 

·      Minimum of 10+ years of experience in public policy, governance, or research and advisory roles

·      Strong understanding of government schemes, policy frameworks, and macro-economic documents such as Union Budget and Economic Survey

·      Proven experience in policy analysis and preparation of policy briefs, reports, and structured insights

·      Ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable recommendations for clients and stakeholders

·      Experience in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks

·      Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with government bodies, academic institutions, and policy organizations

·      Experience in curriculum development, training frameworks, or knowledge dissemination initiatives

·      Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and research orientation

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations

·      Exposure to international relations, geopolitics, and governance-related research

·     Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a dynamic, client-facing environment

 

Qualifications

·      Master’s degree in Political Science / International Relations or equivalent

·      Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

·      Higher degree like Ph.D. in International Studies / Political Science / Public Policy or related discipline preferred
