Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced OMS Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Order Management capabilities across omni-channel ecosystems. The role requires deep expertise in OMS platforms, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to drive large-scale transformation programs in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain domains.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end OMS architecture aligned with business goals and enterprise architecture standards
- Design scalable, resilient, and high-performing OMS solutions across order capture, orchestration, fulfillment, and returns
- Evaluate and recommend OMS platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS, SAP S/4HANA)
2. Integration & Ecosystem Enablement
- Architect integrations between OMS and upstream/downstream systems such as e-commerce platforms, WMS, ERP, CRM, and payment gateways
- Define API, event-driven, and middleware-based integration patterns
- Ensure seamless data flow across systems for real-time visibility and orchestration
3. Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead OMS implementation programs end-to-end including design, build, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, product, engineering, vendors)
- Manage delivery timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
4. Capability Building & Optimization
- Drive key OMS capabilities such as order routing, inventory visibility, ATP/CTP, fulfillment optimization, and returns management
- Identify opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Establish best practices, reusable assets, and governance frameworks
5. Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership
- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions
- Present architecture decisions, trade-offs, and roadmaps to senior stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- 10–12 years of experience in Order Management, Supply Chain, or E-commerce architecture
- Hands-on experience with at least one leading OMS platform (e.g., IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS)
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail and fulfillment processes
Technical Skills
- Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems
- Knowledge of middleware/integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Kafka)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong understanding of data models, inventory management, and order lifecycle
Leadership & Consulting Skills
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing large transformation programs
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
