Role Overview

  • Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements – Complex Lending G3 (AVP) – IC role
    Purpose:
    Working within the Customer Variations team, the Banker role will deliver exceptional customer service on existing lending with complex variation (churn) activities such as full and partial decreases, pricing, security release and deceased estates
    The Banker role provides support direct to customers as well as providing support to frontline Small Business & Health, the broader BD&SB (Business Direct and Small Business) along with the Associates within the Customer Variations Team
     
    Essential capabilities
    Knowledge and experience of lending processes and credit experience.
    Other capabilities
    Credit and Business/Home lending underwriting skills
    Strong customer service skills
    Telephony experience
    Excellent written and communication skills
    Proactive attitude
    Experience
    8-10 yrs Knowledge and experience of business lending processes and credit experience
    Understanding of policy and verification requirements
    Proven financial analysis capability
    Understanding of risk obligations and knowledge of how to replicate compliance
    Qualification Requirements
    Business or finance qualifications preferred but not required.
    Key Accountabilities
    Partner or assist in the creation and preparation of lending submissions including obtaining and collation of information from customers
    Perform complex credit analysis, financial modelling and interpretation of customers financial information
    Demonstration of professional and ethical behaviour by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures
    Delivering a superior customer experience by managing the end to end lending process, maintaining accountability and engaging the necessary internal and external contacts
    Developing strong customer relationships to identify new business, referral and refi opportunities and build advocacy
    Contributing to, and actively participating in, team meetings, continuous improvement practices and sharing of skills and knowledge
    Self sufficient in managing and prioritising tasks/funnel on NUW and Salesforce
