Job Description: BASIS Administrator (mid-level)

We are seeking a skilled SAP BASIS Administrator & Security administrator to join our dynamic IT team. You will be responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, User administration, Role creation & maintenance and support of SAP applications, including SAP ECC, PI/PO, SAP web dispatcher , and other SAP modules. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure our SAP environment’s stability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Perform/participate in SAP installations, upgrades, system copies/refresh, and migrations.
• Configure and maintain SAP NetWeaver systems (ABAP and Java stacks).
• Knowledgeable on different user and role types, SAP Authorization Concept, Roles/Activity Groups, and User Administration.
• Good understanding on concepts of Segregation of Duties SoD
• Monitor and optimize system performance and ensure high availability of SAP systems.
• Troubleshoot SAP application and infrastructure issues.
• Coordinate and manage various activities with 3rd party providers including AMS and SAP RISE.
• Maintain documentation related to SAP configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities including planning, execution, or directing 3rd parties.
• Ensure SAP releases, patches, and upgrades are up to date; evaluate and apply accordingly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration & Security.
• Proficient in SAP installation, configuration, and administration across multiple SAP products including familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA on RISE.
• Hands-on experience with SAP patching and support pack installation.
• Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, system refreshes, and client copies.
• Good knowledge in SAP security administration and user management.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in SAP environments independently or as a member of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a remote and in person work environment.
• Broad understanding of enterprise applications and the ability to learn new skills and applications as requirements dictate.
• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
