We at Deloitte India are hiring eligible candidates for the role of Senior Consultant within our Technology & Transformation (T&T) – Enterprise Architecture & Delivery (EAD) practice for Government & Public Sector (GPS) engagements.

Summary of Job Description

• Independently own and deliver high-quality consulting outputs including reports, research notes, and client presentations

• Lead secondary research, data analysis, and synthesis across public sector and transformation engagements

• Structure complex problems and translate research insights into clear, client-ready recommendations

• Manage defined engagement workstreams with minimal supervision

• Review and guide outputs prepared by Consultants and Analysts

• Support proposal development, thought leadership, and internal knowledge initiatives

• Ensure adherence to Deloitte quality, documentation, and review standards

• Act as a dependable team member and role model for junior staff

Role

As a Senior Consultant, the individual will be responsible for end-to-end execution of research‑ and reporting‑heavy workstreams, working closely with Managers and engagement leadership.

• Own development of analytical reports, policy notes, strategy documents, and presentations for client delivery

• Lead secondary research using government publications, industry reports, academic literature, and global best practices

• Conduct structured analysis to support policy design, governance reform, digital transformation, and program evaluation

• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into clear narratives and actionable insights

• Ensure consistency, clarity, and executive readiness of all client deliverables

• Support engagement planning, execution tracking, and internal reviews

• Identify analytical risks, data gaps, and dependencies and highlight them proactively

Responsibilities

Service Delivery Related

Research & Analysis

• Lead secondary research across public sector, governance, digital transformation, and institutional reform topics

• Analyse policies, schemes, regulations, sector trends, and global benchmarks

• Conduct comparative analysis across states, sectors, and countries

• Review and interpret data, reports, and regulatory documents to derive insights

• Develop structured frameworks, storylines, and key messages for client deliverables

Reporting & Documentation

• Lead drafting of detailed reports, policy briefs, issue notes, and background papers

• Prepare high-quality client presentations (PPT) aligned to executive audiences

• Review and refine content prepared by junior team members

• Ensure logical flow, consistency, and visual clarity across deliverables

• Manage multiple versions, reviews, and timelines effectively

Client Engagement Support

• Support Managers in preparing client-facing presentations and discussion material

• Participate in client discussions focused on findings, insights, and recommendations

• Incorporate client feedback efficiently into revised deliverables

• Support proposal writing, concept notes, and response documents

Tools & Techniques

• Advanced usage of MS PowerPoint for storytelling and client presentations

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel for analysis and data structuring

• Exposure to data visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau) is an advantage

• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

People Related Responsibilities

• Review work outputs of Consultants and Analysts for quality and accuracy

• Provide structured feedback and guidance to junior team members

• Contribute to knowledge repositories, templates, and reusable content

Key Requirements (Senior Consultant – Deloitte GPS)

• Postgraduate or Graduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, or related discipline

• 5–9 years of experience in consulting, research, advisory, or analytics‑focused roles

• Strong experience in secondary research, report writing, and client presentations

• Excellent written communication and structured thinking skills

• Ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and timelines

• Experience reviewing and guiding junior team outputs

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)

• Ability to work in fast-paced consulting environments
