Project: PM Vishwakarma – State-Level Project Management Unit (SLPMU)

Position: Skill Expert

Role Overview

The Skill Expert will support the SLPMU in monitoring and strengthening the skill development and training component of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The role will involve coordination with State/District stakeholders, Training Partners and Training Centres, along with data analysis and field-level monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Basic and Advanced Training, including beneficiary enrolment, batch formation, attendance, completion, assessment and certification.
• Coordinate with State/District officials, Training Partners, Training Centres, NSDC/MSDE and other relevant stakeholders for effective implementation.
• Track district-wise training progress and identify implementation gaps, delays and bottlenecks.
• Conduct/coordinate field visits to assess training centre performance, infrastructure, trainers and adherence to scheme guidelines.
• Analyse MIS data and prepare dashboards, progress reports, presentations and review notes.
• Support reconciliation of MIS and field-level data and follow up on pending cases.
• Facilitate stakeholder review meetings and track action points.
• Document best practices and provide recommendations to improve training completion and certification outcomes.

Qualification & Experience

• Postgraduate degree in Management, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Skill Development, Economics, Public Policy or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in skill development, government programmes, PMU/PMC or livelihood programmes.
• Experience with Government/NSDC/Training Partners/RSETIs/KVIC or similar institutions preferred.
• Strong skills in MIS, Excel, data analysis, stakeholder coordination and report preparation.
• Prior experience with PM Vishwakarma, PMKVY, PMEGP or similar schemes will be an advantage.
