The team
Deloitte India’s Strategy, Risk & Transactions practice supports organizations across the M&A lifecycle, helping clients navigate complex transactions, integrations, carve-outs and transformation programs. The DT&PMI team works closely with clients to drive organization readiness, operational alignment, synergy realization and post-deal value creation through structured integration and separation planning.

As an Assistant Manager in our team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:
We are seeking experienced professionals to join the M&A – DT & PMI practice as an Assistant Manager
- The role requires strong analytical, stakeholder management, and execution capabilities across integration and separation engagement
- The candidate will contribute to organization readiness and consolidation initiatives across M&A transaction
Your role as an Assistant Manager:
- Organizational Readiness & Support
- Understand integration vision and deal strategy
- Support development of separation strategy and readiness assessments
- Evaluate operational and financial interdependency
- Work with stakeholders to define integration principles, governance, and operating models
- Support organization readiness planning for Day 1 / Day 100 and end-state operations
Integration & Separation Workstream
- Establish Day 1 / Day 100 execution workplans and checklists
- Support Integration / Separation Management Office activities
- Assess TSA requirements and prepare TSA schedules and exit strategies
- Perform cost modelling including stranded and standalone cost assessments
- Develop separation of roadmaps and integration plans across business functions
- Identify operational risks, red flags, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare client deliverables including presentations, reports, and dashboards
IT Integration Support
- Support Program / Integration / Transformation Office setup and governance
- Plan IT readiness for Day 1 / Day 100
- Assess IT landscape, vendor contracts, and synergy opportunities
- Support IT integration and transformation execution initiatives
- Recommend IT cost optimization opportunities
Key skills required:

- Understanding of target operating model design and governance structures

- Preferred Qualifications
- –4 years of experience in M&A advisory, strategy consulting, or transaction services
- Big 4 or any relevant consulting experience preferred
- Role involves travel based on client and project requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong client management and presentation skills
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel based on project requirements
