Role Summary

We are seeking an SAP Consultant specializing in S/4HANA Advanced Available‑to‑Promise (aATP) to design, configure, and optimize order fulfillment capabilities across Sales & Distribution (SD), Manufacturing/Planning, and Logistics. The role focuses on enabling real‑time product availability, intelligent confirmations, prioritization, and allocation through aATP capabilities such as Product Allocation (PAL), Backorder Processing (BOP), Supply Protection, Alternative‑Based Confirmation (ABC), and Release for Delivery (RfD)—leveraging Fiori apps, best practices, and integration with EWM, TM, PP/PPDS, and MDG as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Configuration
• Configure aATP scope items: PAL, BOP, Supply Protection, ABC (location/substitution), RfD, and Check Instructions for different business scenarios (e.g., Make‑to‑Stock, Make‑to‑Order, e‑commerce, B2B distribution).
• Define confirmation strategies, prioritization rules, segments, availability control, and allocation sequences aligned to service levels and market/channel commitments.
• Set up aATP master data and dependencies (materials, plants, substitution rules, allocation objects, segments, requirement classes/types, schedule line categories).
• Backorder & Allocation Management
• Design and schedule BOP variants (win/redistribute/lose strategies), simulate impacts, and operationalize recurring runs with performance and cutover considerations.
• Build and maintain Product Allocation (PAL) (time series & characteristics‑based), including planning interfaces and governance.
• Alternative‑Based Confirmation (ABC)
• Model rules for location and product substitution (like‑for‑like or supersession), define rule determination, and measure service‑level adherence.
• Supply Protection / Segmentation
• Implement segmentation to protect inventory for strategic channels/customers; monitor segment consumption and leakage.
• Process Integration
• Integrate aATP with SD order management, EWM for picking/availability groups, TM for transportation lead times, PP/PPDS/MRP for supply visibility, and MDG for master data quality.
• Collaborate with integration teams (CPI/PO) for upstream/downstream flows (e.g., e‑commerce OMS, CRM, 3PL).
• Fiori & Analytics
• Enable and guide usage of aATP Fiori apps (e.g., Monitor Product Allocation, Configure BOP Variants, Supply Protection, RfD).
• Define KPIs & dashboards (fill rate, OTIF, service level by priority/segment, re‑confirmation rates).
• Testing & Cutover
• Author functional specs, test scripts, and E2E test cycles (SIT/UAT), including performance tests for peak order volumes.
• Support data migration, mock runs, and cutover (initial PAL load, initial BOP run baselines).
• Support & Continuous Improvement
• Analyze root causes for confirmation shortfalls, late reallocations, or allocation overruns; drive corrective actions.
• Provide hypercare and L2/L3 functional support, knowledge transfer, and training to business users.

Must‑Have Qualifications

• Hands‑on configuration in SAP S/4HANA aATP (at least one end‑to‑end implementation or two roll‑outs/enhancements) covering PAL, BOP, ABC, Supply Protection, RfD.
• Strong SD (Order‑to‑Cash) fundamentals: availability check, requirements/ATP logic, scheduling, incompleteness, delivery blocks, credit check awareness.
• Understanding of master data & planning touchpoints (MRP, PP/PPDS basics, sourcing lead times, substitution).
• Experience with Fiori apps for aATP operations and configuration.
• Ability to draft Functional Specs for enhancements, exits/BAdIs (e.g., rule determination, priority logic).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Exposure to EWM (availability groups, pick denial handling) and TM (lead times/ATP tie‑ins).
• Basic ABAP debugging to trace confirmation logic and enhancement points.
• Knowledge of BRF+/decision tables for rule logic, CDS views for analytics.
• Experience in Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, IM&C, High‑Tech, or e‑commerce/omnichannel fulfillment.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA releases (1909, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023+) feature differences for aATP.
• Understanding of global delivery models, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps (transport, retrofit, feature toggles).

Education & Certifications

• Graduation Degree
• SAP Certified Application Consultant – S/4HANA Sales (advantage).
• Any aATP‑specific enablement/academy or partner credentials (plus).
