Role Overview
We are seeking an SAP Basis Consultant to support system administration, performance optimization, installations, upgrades, and day‑to‑day technical operations across SAP environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, HANA Database, system monitoring, user administration, and technical troubleshooting in both on‑premise and cloud/hybrid landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
1) SAP Technical Administration
- Perform SAP system installation, configuration, and technical setup for:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP ECC (if applicable)
- SAP HANA Database
- SAP Fiori Front-End Server
- Solution Manager (7.2)
- Manage client administration (copies, refreshes, client creation, logical systems).
2) System Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor and analyze:
- System logs, work processes, and instance profiles
- HANA DB performance (memory, CPU, disk usage, SQL plans)
- Transport queues and change requests
- Perform performance tuning for ABAP, Java stacks, OS, and DB layers.
3) Maintenance, Upgrades & Patching
- Execute:
- SAP Support Pack upgrades
- Kernel upgrades
- Database patching
- Add‑ons installation and system component updates
- Experience with SUM (Software Update Manager), SPAM/SAINT, and Maintenance Planner.
4) User & Security Administration
- Administer user accounts, roles, and authorizations.
- Work with GRC/SoD teams for compliance and access control.
- Manage single sign‑on (SSO), certificates, and secure network communication.
5) Backup, Recovery & High Availability
- Support HANA backup strategies (full, incremental, log backups).
- Knowledge of HANA System Replication, failover/testing, and DR procedures.
- Work with OS and DB teams for end‑to‑end availability.
6) Integration & Cloud Support
- Support SAP interfaces (RFC, IDoc, OData, PI/PO, CPI/Integration Suite).
- Experience with deployments on Azure, AWS, GCP, or SAP Private Cloud Edition (RISE).
- Manage connectivity between applications, load balancers, and network components.
7) Documentation & Support
- Maintain system landscape documents, installation guides, backup plans, SOPs, and technical runbooks.
- Provide L2/L3 support, incident analysis, root-cause resolution, and performance improvements.
- Participate in on‑call rotation (if required).
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAP S/4HANA architecture
- SAP HANA database administration
- SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
- System monitoring and performance tuning
- SAP Fiori activation and troubleshooting
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- System installations
- Version upgrades (ECC → S/4HANA is a plus)
- Database migrations (DMO, SUM)
Technical Tools & Competencies
- SAP HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit
- SAP Solution Manager (Monitoring, ChaRM, EWA, System Health)
- SAP GUI, SAP Fiori Launchpad Admin
- SAP Host Agent, SNOTE, SPAM/SAINT
- OS familiarity: Linux (preferred), Windows
- Basic scripting (Shell/Python) is an advantage

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
