Role Overview
We are seeking an SAP GTS Consultant to deliver solutions across Compliance, Customs, and Trade Preference processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on configuration experience in SAP GTS (11.0 or S/4HANA), understands global trade regulations, and can collaborate across Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay streams to ensure compliant, efficient cross-border trade.
Key Responsibilities
1) Solution Design & Build
- Conduct requirements workshops, process discovery, and fit-gap analysis across:
- Compliance Management: Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening, Embargo checks, Legal Control, License Management, Product Classification (HS/Tariff codes, ECCN).
- Customs Management: Customs declarations, export/import processes, broker integration, Transit, Bonded processes, Intrastat/Extrastat (where applicable).
- Trade Preference Management: Rules of Origin, supplier declarations, long-term supplier declarations (LTSD), product eligibility, preference determination.
- Configure master data and organizational elements: Legal Units, Customs Org, Business Partners, Trade Product Master, Content updates (e.g., sanctioned party lists).
- Prepare Functional Specifications for WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
2) Integration & Interfaces
- Integrate GTS with S/4HANA/ERP (SD deliveries, MM POs, material/product master, BP/vendor/customer), EWM, and FI for duty/tax postings.
- Support eCustoms/eFiling and broker interfaces (IDoc/API/EDI/PI/PO/Integration Suite), and event/status updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, EWM, PP, FI/CO, Security/Authorization) to ensure end-to-end process integrity.
3) Testing, Cutover & Support
- Create and execute UT/SIT/UAT test scenarios; manage defects and re-tests.
- Support migration (classification data, licenses/preferences), cutover, and go-live.
- Provide post‑go‑live support, resolve incidents within SLAs, and implement enhancements.
4) Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with trade regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Maintain process documentation, configuration workbooks, SOPs, and training materials for business users.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Expertise
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP GTS (GTS 11.0 and/or S/4HANA for International Trade).
- Strong knowledge of at least two of the following GTS areas:
- Compliance Management (SPL, embargo, legal control, licenses, product classification).
- Customs Management (export/import declarations, broker comms, Intrastat).
- Trade Preference (rules of origin, supplier declarations, preference eligibility).
- Experience with content updates (sanctioned party lists, tariff schedules) and classification processes.
- Understanding of organizational and master data design for GTS and document transfer from ERP.
Integration Knowledge
- Solid experience integrating with SD/MM/EWM and FI/CO.
- Familiarity with interfaces (IDoc, API, PI/PO/BTP Integration Suite) and working with external customs/broker systems.
Technical & Tooling
- Ability to write clear Functional Specifications and collaborate with ABAP/Integration teams.
- Familiarity with Fiori apps for International Trade, BRF+ for decision logic, AIF for interface monitoring (if applicable).
- Basic understanding of authorization objects/roles for trade processes.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Analytical problem solving with attention to detail and compliance rigor.
- Ability to work independently in agile and cross-functional teams.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, IT, or related field.
- SAP GTS certification (preferred).
- Any certification in S/4HANA or Trade Compliance is an advantage.
