Consultant – HCM Payroll

Role Summary

We are looking for a SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of payroll solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll, strong understanding of statutory compliance, and the ability to work closely with HR, Finance, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Configuration & Support

• Configure and support SAP HCM Payroll including schemas, rules, and wage types
• Execute regular payroll runs, retro calculations, and payroll corrections
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing

Functional Activities

• Handle payroll-related master data and transactions
• Configure statutory components such as taxes, deductions, benefits, and reimbursements
• Assist in payroll testing activities (unit testing, integration testing, UAT)
• Analyse and resolve payroll errors and discrepancies

Integration & Collaboration

• Support integration of Payroll with Time Management, OM, PA, and FI
• Work with technical teams on payroll-related enhancements, reports, and interfaces
• Coordinate with HR and Finance stakeholders to address payroll queries and issues

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with country-specific statutory and legal payroll requirements
• Support payroll audits and reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain functional documentation and user guides

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Skills

• Hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll
• Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance
• Experience with country-specific payroll (India payroll preferred)
• Knowledge of payroll integrations and data flow

Experience

• 3–5+ years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll
• Experience in at least one end-to-end payroll implementation or support project
• AMS / production support experience is an advantage

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Education & Certifications

• Graduation Degree
• SAP HCM Payroll certification preferred
