Consultant – HCM (OM/PA)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP HCM Consultant (OM & PA) to support end-to-end design, configuration, and support of OM and PA. The role involves working closely with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and seamless integrations with Time, Payroll, and other HCM modules.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Configure and maintain OM structures (organizational units, positions, jobs, relationships) and PA master data (hire-to-retire lifecycle).
  • Define and manage actions, infotypes, feature configurations (e.g., ABKRS, TARIF, LGMST, IGMOD, PINCH), number ranges, and screen modifications.
  • Design and optimize position management, cost center assignments, and reporting structures.
  • Ensure robust data model governance and alignment with HR processes and policies.

Implementation & Support

  • Deliver end-to-end configuration, unit/integration/UAT testing, cutover, and post–go-live stabilization.
  • Handle mass data loads/updates (e.g., LSMW/BDC), org changes, and reorganizations.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to OM/PA integration with Time, Payroll, and FI/CO.
  • Create/maintain functional specs for WRICEF (workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms).

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with HR, Finance, and IT to gather requirements and document Business Blueprint/Functional Specifications.
  • Provide user training, SOPs, and knowledge transfer to business teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for interfaces (e.g., to SuccessFactors/EC, third-party HR systems).

Compliance & Data Quality

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and organizational policies (e.g., employee categories, probation, separations).
  • Maintain data accuracy, audit readiness, and change traceability through proper documentation and controls.
  • Support role-based authorizations (HR structural authorizations) design and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM OM & PA configuration and support.
  • Solid understanding of infotypes (e.g., 0000, 0001, 0002, 0006, 0007, 0008, 0009, 0014, 0015, 1000, 1001, etc.).
  • Experience with organizational restructures, position management, actions/reasons, and data validation.
  • Familiarity with integration touchpoints to Time Management and Payroll (India Payroll exposure is a plus).

Experience

  • 3–5 years of SAP HCM experience with strong OM & PA focus.
  • At least one full-cycle implementation.
  • Experience with LSMW/BDC, ad hoc reporting (e.g., SAP Query), and workflow basics preferred.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and process governance.
  • Ability to work independently, meet timelines, and collaborate across teams.

Education & Certifications

  • Graduation Degree
  • SAP HCM certification is an advantage.
