Job Description: Consultant – Transportation Planning & Logistics Advisory

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Consultant with 1–2 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling, logistics planning, and infrastructure advisory. The candidate should have hands-on experience in transport modelling tools and should be comfortable working on consulting assignments related to master planning, logistics masterplans, comprehensive mobility plans, traffic studies, and multimodal transport projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support transportation planning and logistics advisory assignments across urban, regional, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Undertake traffic and transport analysis, including traffic volume assessment, OD analysis, capacity assessment, Level of Service analysis, and demand estimation.
• Assist in developing transport models using tools such as CUBE, VISSIM, VISUM or similar modelling software.
• Support preparation of masterplans, logistics masterplans, comprehensive mobility plans, city logistics plans, industrial area connectivity plans, and transport feasibility studies.
• Conduct data analysis using traffic surveys, secondary datasets, GIS layers, stakeholder inputs, and field observations.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, charts, and dashboards for client discussions and project deliverables.
• Support logistics-related studies including freight movement analysis, warehouse/logistics park planning, multimodal connectivity assessment, and supply chain mapping.
• Coordinate with internal teams, survey agencies, government departments, and client stakeholders for project inputs and deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Planning.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, logistics planning, or transport consulting.
• Hands-on working knowledge of transport modelling software such as CUBE, VISSIM, VISUM or equivalent tools.
• Experience in projects such as transport masterplans, logistics masterplans, CMPs, traffic impact studies, industrial/logistics infrastructure studies, or multimodal transport studies.
• Strong analytical ability with good understanding of traffic surveys, demand assessment, capacity analysis, and transport network planning.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, GIS tools such as ArcGIS/QGIS, and data visualization would be preferred.
• Good report writing, presentation, communication, and coordination skills.
