Your work profile

 

Drafting appeals, submissions, and legal documents in relation to Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax, and International Tax issues. Assisting/representing before Income-tax Appellate Tribunal High Courts, and the Supreme Court (in coordination with senior counsel/external counsel). Ensuring case files are well-prepared, updated, organized, and safely transported to and from courts and office.

 

Handling and coordinating with Income Tax Authorities during assessments or other proceedings.

Researching and interpreting legal/tax updates relevant to assigned matters.

 

Managing client communications, responding to queries, providing timely updates.

Organizing client meetings and delivering concise, structured briefings.

 

Managing litigation calendars, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring nothing slips through.Coordinating with internal tax teams, clients, and external counsel seamlessly.Drafting engagement letters, preparing summaries of services, and ensuring timely billing.

 

Supporting knowledge management initiatives including newsletters, presentations, and internal trainings. Supervising and mentoring interns and CA article trainees.

 

 

Key skills required: 

  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Lawyer (LL.B./LL.M. in Tax preferred).
  • Experience: 3–6 years of experience in Direct Tax Litigation/Advisory, with exposure to courts and tax authorities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Responsible with strong sense of accountability for cases from start to finish
  • Energetic and driven – someone with fire to excel and handle challenges head-on
  • Diligent, reliable, and proactive in ensuring tasks are completed on time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
