Work you’ll do: You will be part of the Policy Research and Insights Team under the Chief Growth Office (CGO) in Deloitte Shared Services. You will broadly assist in data collection, analysis, policy review, and report writing to aid evidence-based decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful research that supports in the Government & Public Service (GPS) domain.

 

Job Description:

  • Working closely with India's research team for data collection and analysis for research project focused on government public services.
  • Gather, clean, and analyze data from government reports, public records, and relevant sources to support policy research.
  • Policy Research & Review – Study existing government policies, schemes, and public service initiatives to identify gaps, best practices, and areas for improvement.
  • Implementing research methods, conducting literature survey of reports and academic papers, leading secondary data collection, and analyzing and synthesizing data,
  • Structuring, organizing, and synthesizing information to generate research hypotheses through rigorous gap analysis of secondary research and develop key insights
  • Validating research hypothesis to propose potential in support of the points of view.
  • Contributing to developing ideas for topics as well as specific approaches to address topics of interest in a rigorous and usually quantitative manner.
  • Writing draft reports to provide valid and credible findings
  • Presenting and summarising data, insights, and preparing client-ready deck on all deliverables.
  • Past experience of writing reports or co-authored is a must.
  • Writing client-ready sections on short case studies and points of view.
  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Handling ad hoc tasks or projects, including handling bespoke requests from clients
  • Effectively managing multiple tasks and stakeholders of all levels by prioritizing urgency and importance
  • Continuously building and strengthening relationships with Business & Internal stakeholders.
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships at mid and lower levels.

 

 

Qualification:

  • 4+ years of experience with a good research background, specifically in Government Public service related research. (policy review, analysis, understanding of government workings)
  • Good writing and communication skill is a must and must have worked on research reports and written short reports.
  • Has a good knowledge of MS office applications with a knowledge of basic macros in excel.
  • Has a good working knowledge of applied statistical techniques
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to initiate
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Must have very strong attention to detail and the ability and willingness to learn quickly about new subjects.
