Your work profile
As a Deputy Manager in our Tax Technology Team, focusing on automation of processes and compliances pertaining to Direct Tax, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of tax technology tools, Deloitte systems, standard processes, user manuals, internal workflows, and system access, while ensuring timely resolution of tasks raised by various teams.
- Support the enhancement of existing tax technology tools and development of new tools through automation.
- Understand functional requirements and enhancements, prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) / Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and collaborate with Business Analysts, Tax Technical teams, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare test scenarios and test data and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for tax technology applications.
- Oversee testing conducted by team members, coordinate with developers for issue resolution, and ensure timely completion of testing activities.
- Identify, document, and report system bugs, errors, and defects and track them through resolution within agreed timelines.
- Review test plans, test cases, and testing documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines and standards.
- Provide timely updates to senior team members on project and development progress.
- Review time and cost trackers on a real-time basis, monitor project tickets, and support effective team utilisation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and enabling areas to support project and on-the-job requirements.
- Identify opportunities and provide innovative ideas to enhance tax technology tools and increase automation across Direct Tax processes.
- Support team members through knowledge sharing, guidance, and effective collaboration to ensure quality delivery.
Desired qualifications
- CA with 3–5 years of experience in Direct Taxation, with strong techno-functional skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of Direct Tax, particularly tax compliances and tax litigation.
- Prior experience working on tax technology or automation projects will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of accounting/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Experience or certification in Advanced Excel, Python, RPA, AI/ML, Gen AI, or Agentic AI will be an added advantage.
