Your work profile

The Executive– ESG Advisory will support Deloitte’s SRT Sustainability team in delivering high‑quality, client‑facing ESG and sustainability advisory engagements. The role involves research, data analysis, ESG reporting support, and preparation of client deliverables, working closely with senior team members and client stakeholders across sectors.

Key Responsibilities

ESG Advisory & Project Support

• Support execution of ESG and sustainability advisory engagements including assessments, benchmarking, strategy development, and implementation support.
• Conduct research and analysis on ESG regulations, standards, and leading market practices.
• Assist in managing workstreams and meeting project timelines and quality standards.
• Support preparation of client‑ready deliverables such as presentations, reports, and dashboards.

ESG Reporting & Disclosure Support

• Support ESG reporting and disclosure assignments aligned with BRSR, GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, CDP, and related frameworks.
• Assist with ESG data collection, validation, analysis, and documentation.
• Support ESG maturity assessments, gap analysis, and benchmarking exercises.
• Assist in responding to ESG questionnaires, ratings, and investor requests.

Sustainability & Climate Analytics

• Support sustainability and climate‑related engagements including GHG inventories (Scope 1 & 2, and selected Scope 3), climate risk analysis, and transition planning.
• Assist in research and analysis related to energy, water, waste, supply chain ESG, circular economy, and social impact areas.
• Develop basic analytical models, trackers, and summaries under guidance from senior team members.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Assistant Managers, Managers, and Senior Managers to deliver project outcomes.
• Coordinate with internal Deloitte teams and global sustainability specialists as required.
• Support proposal development, RFP responses, and internal knowledge initiatives.

Learning & Knowledge Development

• Build foundational expertise in ESG, sustainability regulations, and consulting methodologies.
• Contribute to development of internal templates, research notes, and sustainability tools.
• Support creation of thought leadership content and market insights.

Key skills required: 

In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modelling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields
• 0–2 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, consulting, risk advisory, or related roles (internships included)
• Prior exposure to ESG reporting or sustainability projects preferred
• ESG related coursework or certifications (GRI, CFA ESG, sustainability programs) are an advantage
• Strong interest in ESG, sustainability, and climate change issues
• Basic understanding of ESG regulations and reporting frameworks
• Strong research, analytical, and data interpretation skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to structure information clearly
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team based consulting environment
• Attention to detail and strong quality orientation
• This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
