We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern to join our Business Tax team. The role will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to tax compliance, research, assessments, advisory, and tax controversy management, including litigation support.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the team in tax compliance, assessments and related documentation.
• Conduct tax research on applicable laws, regulations, notifications, circulars and judicial precedents.
• Assist in preparing responses, submissions and documentation for tax assessments and litigation matters.
• Support the team in tax controversy management, including tracking and coordinating ongoing matters.
• Assist in analysing tax positions and preparing research notes, presentations and client deliverables.
• Support the team in providing business tax advisory and resolving tax-related queries.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and records for ongoing engagements.
• Stay updated on changes in direct tax laws, regulations and judicial developments.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
