Role Overview
The OTC Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end collections process within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle. This includes ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve disputes and improve cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Collections Management:
- Contact customers to collect overdue payments via calls, emails, and other communication channels.
- Negotiate payment plans and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Work with internal teams (Billing, Sales, Customer Service) to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes promptly.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and account statuses.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all collection activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify gaps in the OTC process and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in OTC collections or accounts receivable in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes, credit management, and cash application.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with collections software or CRM tools.
- Knowledge of financial analysis and risk management.
