As a Manager (ESG) in our Sustainability team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and drive business development initiatives across ESG service areas, including opportunity identification, pipeline building, and conversion. Own and oversee the end-to-end proposal development process and client pitches, leveraging global credentials and tailoring solutions to client requirements. Build and manage strong client relationships to drive account growth and cross-selling opportunities. Lead the development of Thought Leadership (TLs) and Point of View (PoV) documents by guiding teams on primary and secondary research. Provide strategic market insights and sector intelligence to strengthen go-to-market positioning and enhance overall service differentiation. The responsibilities of this role may include:

• Project Delivery and Client Management
  • Lead end-to-end execution of ESG and decarbonization engagements including ESG reporting, GHG accounting, climate risk assessments, net-zero strategy and ESG due diligence, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Oversee project planning, resource allocation, review of deliverables, and risk management across multiple engagements
  • Provide technical guidance on ESG frameworks including GRI, BRSR, TCFD, CDP, IFC Performance Standards and GHG Protocol
  • Manage project teams, mentor junior members, and drive capability building within the practice
  • Serve as a key client interface, managing day-to-day stakeholder communication and ensuring alignment with project objectives
  • Build strong client relationships through strategic advisory support and proactive issue resolution
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and repeat business within existing clients

• Business Development
  • Lead business development across ESG offerings, including opportunity identification, pipeline creation, and conversion
  • Own end-to-end proposal development, including solutioning, pricing, and client presentations

Key skills required: 

In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modelling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

• Lead and manage the PMU, providing strategic and technical advisory on ESG, Climate & Sustainability, decarbonization, energy management and environmental sustainability
• Qualification & Experience: B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical) and M.E./M.Tech./MBA (Energy/Climate / Sustainability), with minimum 10+ years’ experience in energy management, climate action, ESG, decarbonization and sustainability. Experience in the Iron & Steel sector is preferred. Relevant climate and sustainability certifications desired
• Drive engagement with Central/State Governments, industry, academia/research institutions and international organizations, including consultations, workshops and partnerships
• Support policy/programme development, implementation and evaluation, aligned with India’s climate commitments and Net-Zero objectives
• Strong expertise in ESG ratings, ESG Due Diligence, climate risk, energy efficiency, emissions management and decarbonization
• Conduct research, data analysis and technology assessments on emissions, energy use, regulations, global best practices and emerging steel decarbonization technologies
• Demonstrate strong business acumen, client-centricity, cross-sector understanding, analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent stakeholder management, communication, technical writing and presentation skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word and excellent English
• Be self-driven, adaptable and innovative, with the ability to continuously track evolving ESG regulations, sustainability trends and climate technologies
• Proven experience in client engagements, global project delivery, strategic advisory and leading high-performance teams
• Location & Work Mode: Delhi NCR; 5 days working from office, with willingness for limited travel based on project requirements
