The team
The Operational Due Diligence team is a part of the Transaction Services International team and provides advisory & support services to Deloitte members firms’ in performing a diverse nature of operational diligence engagements.
The team has significant experience in performing detailed operational diligence covering areas of cost analysis, synergy and carve-out assessment, stand-alone performance improvements and operational turnarounds. The businesses under consideration are of differing sizes (private and public international entities) and operate at various levels of complexities across a range of industries.
The team works as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ Operational team and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network and develop understanding of the global industry standards.. Your work profile
- As a Manager in our Transaction Services – M&A Ops Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
- Support the Head of Transaction Services in the day to day running of the team
- Responsible for managing staff, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and overall delivery of work by the team (quality, service levels, etc.)
- Assist on the delivery of select projects, when required
- Continue to develop and hone your leadership capabilities
- Responsible for implementing plans to develop the skills of the team
- Work alongside key stakeholders, as well as wider FA senior management, which will help you develop and improve your leadership capabilities
- Assist in the operational management of the team of over 60 professionals
- Manage the team’s workload, their delivery of work including quality and service levels etc. and deliver training and implement plans to upskill the team
- Assist in the delivery of transactions
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the U.K., Canada, Australia, and the Middle East, among others, to allocate resources to engagements, build relationships, and identify opportunities to grow the business
- Assist in staff management, including recruitment, appraisals and day to day staffing matters
- Assist in the implementation of the strategy, and prepare annual plans to meet the objectives of the practice
- Oversee the team’s budget and monitor performance
- Take responsibility for practice risk management and quality assurance
Key skills required:
- CA with at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience of leading teams in a top management consultancy or a corporate environment – preferably both
- Transaction Services experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of Transaction Services experience. Candidates with overseas Transaction Services experience in one of our key territories would be an advantage
- Excellent track record and strong academic achievements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint)
- Proven analytical and business diagnostic skills
- A proven ability to build and manage relationships with clients
- An ability to manage and prioritise workloads
- Experience recruiting staff and conducting performance appraisals
- Excellent technical skills, including experience MS Office
- Knowledge of visualisation tools
- Offshore experience would be expected
