Job Title: Senior Consultant | BI reports | Delhi | Oracle
Role Overview
The Senior Consultant – Oracle Reporting (BI Publisher / OTBI) is a hands-on delivery role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing reporting solutions for Oracle Fusion Applications. The role requires strong expertise in BI Publisher and OTBI, a good understanding of Oracle Fusion data models, and close collaboration with functional and technical teams to deliver accurate, scalable, and business-ready reporting solutions as part of Oracle Cloud transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Reporting Development & Delivery
- Design and develop BI Publisher reports including data templates, RTF layouts, and bursting definitions
- Build and enhance OTBI analyses, dashboards, and subject areas
- Develop pixel-perfect operational and statutory reports across Oracle Fusion modules (Financials, SCM, HCM)
- Support report migration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
Reporting Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze reporting requirements and map them to BI Publisher and OTBI capabilities
- Understand Oracle Fusion data models, subject areas, and security frameworks
- Write and optimize SQL queries for BI Publisher data templates
- Implement report parameters, prompts, filters, and scheduling
- Ensure reports meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
Integration & Automation Support
- Support BIP integrations for inbound and outbound data flows
- Collaborate with OIC and technical teams for report-based integrations and extracts
- Configure report scheduling, delivery channels, and bursting to FTP, email, and UCM
- Support FBDI-based reporting and reconciliation requirements
Client Interaction & Collaboration
- Participate in reporting workshops, requirement discussions, and design walkthroughs
- Work closely with functional consultants (Finance, SCM, HCM) to validate reporting logic
- Provide clear explanations of report outputs and data definitions to business users
- Support UAT cycles, defect resolution, and user sign-off
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work under the guidance of Managers and Reporting Leads
- Review reports developed by junior team members and provide technical guidance
- Contribute to reusable reporting templates, SQL libraries, and best practices
- Share learnings and updates within the Oracle Reporting community
Learning, Certification & Professional Development
- Stay current with Oracle Cloud reporting features and quarterly releases
- Actively pursue Oracle BI Publisher / OTBI certifications
- Build expertise in related areas such as OAC, SQL tuning, and Fusion security
- Participate in internal reporting capability-building initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- 4–7 years of experience in Oracle Reporting or Oracle Fusion Applications
- Strong hands-on experience with BI Publisher (data templates, RTF layouts, bursting)
- Experience building OTBI reports and dashboards
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of Oracle Fusion data models
- Experience working in a global delivery or offshore model
Preferred
- Experience in Big-4 or large system integrators
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Financials, SCM, or HCM modules
- Experience with OAC, Fusion data security, or report performance tuning
- Oracle BI Publisher / OTBI certification(s)
