Role Overview

The Dynamics 365 Technical Senior Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex technical solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The role requires strong expertise in X++ development, solution architecture, integration design, and deployment strategies, along with the ability to work closely with clients to understand requirements and propose effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead the design and development of complex technical solutions in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O).
  • Collaborate with functional teams to convert business requirements into robust technical designs.
  • Prepare high-level and low-level technical design documents.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for development, deployment, and customization.

Development & Customization

  • Develop solutions using X++, MorphX, and other D365 F&O development tools.
  • Customize standard features to meet client-specific requirements while adhering to Microsoft’s recommended practices.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.
  • Build and maintain integrations with other Microsoft technologies and third-party applications.

Deployment & Performance

  • Plan and execute deployment strategies for multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod).
  • Support environment setup, data migration scripts, and release management processes.
  • Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.

Client Interaction

  • Act as a primary technical point of contact for client engagements.
  • Conduct technical workshops, demos, and requirement-gathering sessions independently.
  • Advise clients on the technical capabilities and limitations of the platform.

Cross-Platform Collaboration

  • Integrate D365 F&O with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure services, and other Microsoft suite applications.
  • Work with C#, .NET, and related technologies for extended solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Core Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O technical architecture, X++, and MorphX.
  • Implementation Experience: Minimum 4–5 end-to-end D365 F&O.
  • Solution Design: Proven ability to design and implement complex technical solutions.
  • Technical Deliverables: High-level technical design, code development, code review, deployment planning.
  • Additional Skills:
  • C# and .NET (preferred)
  • Experience with Azure services and Power Platform (advantage)
  • Understanding of LCS (Lifecycle Services) and DevOps pipelines for D365.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate.
  • Experience in integrating D365 with external systems via APIs, Logic Apps, or Azure Service Bus.
  • Exposure to other Microsoft applications such as Power BI, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
