The team

As a member of the Operation, Industry and domain solutions team you will embark on an exciting and fulfilling journey with a group of intelligent and innovative globally aware individuals.

We work in conjuncture with various institutions solving key business problems across a broad-spectrum roles and functions, all set against the backdrop of constant industry change.

 Key Responsibility Areas

·      Develop and operationalise the privacy-by-design and security-by-design artefacts mandated for all Data Exchange Platforms

·      Design and maintain the audit framework for data sharing including auditable data trails, access logs, and accountability chains for cross-agency data exchange

·      Assess re-identification risks in anonymised datasets proposed for sharing with private entities; recommend technical and contractual mitigations

·      Ensure all Data Exchange Platforms and Data Sharing Policies incorporate purpose limitation, data minimisation, and retention controls aligned with DPDP Act 2023

·      Monitor compliance with prohibitions on profiling, discriminatory use, and resale of citizen data as mandated by DPDP fairness principles

·      Coordinate with CERT-In on cybersecurity requirements for national data exchange infrastructure

·      Develop the negative list review mechanism, establishing standard criteria and periodic review processes for non-shareable data classifications

·      Prepare privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new data sharing arrangements, particularly with private entities through data exchanges

·      Advise on data valuation guidelines for sharing with private entities, ensuring that pricing models do not inadvertently commoditise personal data contrary to citizens' rights

·      Support NDGC in monitoring compliance and recommending corrective measures; escalate systemic breaches

     Key Skills

•            Data privacy law and regulatory compliance (DPDP Act, IT Act, GDPR awareness)

•            Privacy impact assessment and risk management

•            Cybersecurity frameworks and audit methodologies

•            Technical understanding of anonymisation, encryption, and access control

•            Policy drafting for security and privacy provisions in data sharing agreements

  Education Details

·    B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology (essential)

·    LLB or Post-Graduate degree in Cyber Law, Data Privacy, or Information Security (desirable)

·    Training in Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs), differential privacy, or federated learning (desirable)

Experience

·      Minimum 7–9 years in information security, data privacy compliance, or cybersecurity governance roles

·      Direct experience implementing data protection frameworks in Indian regulatory context - DPDP Act 2023, IT (Amendment) Act, RBI/SEBI data security guidelines

·      Experience conducting privacy impact assessments, data protection audits, or security audits for large-scale digital systems

·      Familiarity with anonymisation techniques, pseudonymisation standards, and kanonymity/l-diversity frameworks

·      Understanding of government cybersecurity frameworks including CERT-In guidelines and MeitY's GIGW standards

·      Experience with consent management platforms, audit trail mechanisms, and access control systems

Certifications

•  Professional certifications: CIPP (IAPP), CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent (essential)
