Detailed Job Description:
Skills Required –
- Strong experience in database development using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational database management systems
- Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and database optimization
- Experience in database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and database migration techniques
- Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and database design principles
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and handling large datasets
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Adaptability to long-term travel and change
Role & Responsibilities –
- Responsible for leading database design, development, and optimization engagements for public sector clients
- Understand client data requirements and develop scalable, secure, and efficient database solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and performance monitoring
- Develop and manage ETL processes for integrating data from multiple sources
- Ensure database security, integrity, backup, and recovery mechanisms are implemented effectively
- Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and analytics teams to support business requirements
- Assist in designing data models, database architecture, and implementation strategies
- Actively establish and strengthen client and internal relationships
