The team

Deloitte’s Urban Transformation team within the Technology & Transformation practice supports international development agencies and national, state and local governments in the areas of urban planning & development, preparation of sustainable and bankable business and operational models, infrastructure finance, climate finance, institutional strengthening, capacity building, asset management & monetization, policy and regulatory analysis, feasibility analysis, due diligence, impact assessment, regulation assessment, market assessment, and project management. 

Your work profile

Urban development professional with expertise in project structuring, development of frameworks for master plans/ detailed project reports, policy advisory, infrastructure planning, municipal consulting and 5-8 years’ experience of working with central government ministries/ agencies, state urban departments and/ or urban local bodies (ULBs).  The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.

Key skills required

• Strong understanding of the Indian urban policy landscape with experience in public sector/ institutional advisory
• Experience in developing city development strategies, regional master planning support, TOD frameworks, land monetization/ value capture models,
  urban diagnostics and reform prioritization frameworks
• Skilled in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation frameworks
• Knowledge of procurement and government processes
• Proficient in policy analysis related to urban governance and public sector reforms.
• Skilled in stakeholder coordination with government departments, urban local bodies, consultants, and development partners.
• Knowledge of municipal administration and urban governance frameworks
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving urban service delivery and financial efficiency.
• Strong structuring and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

Postgraduate in urban/ regional planning
