Position: Senior Full Stack Developer
About the Programme:
The National Insight Center for Education (NICE), Ministry of Education initiative aims to build a centralized analytics and decision-support platform that consolidates data across national education programmes, giving senior government leadership real-time performance visibility and driving data-informed policy for 50L+ learners annually.
About the Role:
The role involves owning end-to-end data platform delivery, architecting ETL pipelines, dashboards and API integrations, and leading engineering teams through discovery, design and deployment across multiple government initiatives.
Key Roles and Responsibility:
1. Data Architecture and Pipeline Engineering: Design and deliver scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating heterogeneous data sources across national, state and district-level systems, handling large data volumes.
2. Dashboard and BI Platform Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, trend analysis and geospatial visualisations supporting real-time decision-making for senior stakeholders.
3. Cloud Data Infrastructure Management: Architect and maintain scalable data warehousing and analytics infrastructure using AWS, BigQuery and PostgreSQL, optimising performance and reliability.
4. API Integration and Backend Engineering: Design and secure REST APIs enabling seamless data exchange between platforms, applications and third-party systems.
5. Team Leadership and Delivery Management: Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and analysts, overseeing full lifecycle delivery from requirement gathering through deployment.
6. Stakeholder Management: Engage with government leadership and departmental stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven analytics solutions.
Qualifications:
· Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Applications, Engineering or a related field
· Preferred: Relevant experience delivering data platforms for government or PMU environments
Experience (Preferred):
1. 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics or BI platform delivery
2. Experience in government programmes or PMU environments
3. Strong experience in ETL design, dashboard engineering (Power BI, Tableau) and database architecture (PostgreSQL, BigQuery)
4. Experience in Node.js, Python, JavaScript and REST API development
5. Exposure to large-scale, multi-domain data platforms spanning education, healthcare and urban governance
