Role Overview
The Senior Consultant – Oracle SCM Costing is a hands-on delivery role responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Costing solutions. The role requires strong functional expertise in product costing, manufacturing cost management, and inventory valuation, with the ability to independently manage assigned modules and collaborate with Managers, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver accurate and scalable cost management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle SCM Costing Implementation & Delivery
- Configure and implement Oracle Fusion Costing modules including:
- Cost Organization and Costing Methods
- Standard, Average, and Actual Costing
- Cost Rollup, Cost Adjustments, and Cost Accounting
- Integration with Manufacturing, Inventory, and Procurement modules
- Lead end-to-end implementation activities including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and test scenarios
- Execute unit testing, support SIT, UAT, and cutover activities
- Assist with post-go-live stabilization, issue resolution, and process optimization
Functional Analysis & Solution Design
- Analyze client manufacturing and supply chain costing processes and map them to Oracle Fusion Costing capabilities
- Provide recommendations for cost management, standard cost updates, and variance analysis
- Support Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Costing migrations, including setup validation and reconciliation
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, and Finance teams for integrated costing solutions
- Implement costing best practices to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation
Client Interaction & Collaboration
- Participate in client workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design discussions
- Work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain stakeholders
- Provide clear explanations of costing functionality, process flows, and reports
- Support UAT cycles, issue resolution, and client sign-off
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work under the guidance of Managers and Costing Leads
- Review and support work of Consultants and junior team members
- Contribute to reusable templates, configuration accelerators, and knowledge repositories
- Share best practices and lessons learned within the Oracle SCM Costing practice
Learning, Certification & Professional Development
- Stay current with Oracle Cloud Costing features, quarterly updates, and emerging best practices
- Actively pursue Oracle SCM Costing or related certifications
- Build expertise in related SCM modules, reporting (OTBI / BI Publisher), and integrations (OIC)
- Participate in internal capability-building initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
- 4–7 years of experience in Oracle SCM / Oracle Cloud Applications
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Costing modules
- Experience working on at least one end-to-end Costing implementation
- Strong understanding of product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost management
- Experience working in a global delivery or offshore model
Preferred
- Experience in Big-4 or large system integrators
- Exposure to Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, or Financial modules
- Experience with integrations (OIC), reporting (OTBI / BI Publisher), or extensions (APEX)
- Oracle SCM Costing certification(s)
