Job Description: Senior Consultant – SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)

Position: Senior Consultant – SAP PM

Location: Delhi/NCR

Industry Focus: Construction Machinery, Automotive, Industrial Machinery

Tech Stack: SAP S/4HANA (preferred), ECC (legacy), Fiori

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to lead the design and delivery of maintenance solutions across asset-intensive operations in construction machinery, automotive plants, and industrial machinery manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise in EAM/PM, hands-on S/4HANA configuration, strong integration knowledge (MM, PP, QM, EWM, CS/SD), and practical understanding of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance in discrete and heavy-equipment environments.

Key Responsibilities

1) Solution Design & Delivery

• Lead discovery workshops, process mapping, and fit–gap for PM:
• Maintenance Strategies (time-/performance-based), Task Lists, Maintenance Plans, IP/Strategy Plans
• Notification & Order Management (damage codes, cause codes, priorities, catalogs)
• Breakdown/Corrective, Preventive, Predictive (Condition-Based) maintenance
• Refurbishment of repairable spares, serial number and batch handling
• Measurement Points & Documents, counters, calibration, and inspection integration
• Work Clearance Management (WCM) / Permits & isolation procedures (where applicable)
• Configure Fiori apps for EAM and design role-based maintenance cockpits and KPIs.
• Prepare Functional Specifications for WRICEF (reports, forms, interfaces, enhancements), including mobile enablement.

2) Industry-Specific Design

• Construction Machinery:
• Fleet/asset hierarchy (equipment/functional locations), field service integration, site mobilization/demobilization, harsh-environment PM strategies, warranty and SLA tracking.
• Automotive Manufacturing:
• High-availability constraints, sequence/line maintenance, TPM pillars, production integration (downtime capture), tooling & jig maintenance, predictive analytics for bottleneck resources.
• Industrial Machinery:
• Complex BOMs, repairable spare parts cycling, calibration/accuracy checks, overhaul projects, turnaround/shutdown planning.

3) Integration & Data

• Integration with MM (spare parts, MRP, reservations/issue), PP (order confirmations, downtime), QM (inspection/usage decisions), EWM/WM (staging, kitting), CS/SD (warranty/field service), and FI/CO (costing/settlement).
• Collaborate on sensor/IoT data ingestion for condition monitoring (e.g., vibration, temperature) and alert-to-notification automation.
• Guide master data strategy: equipment, functional locations, classes/characteristics, counters, task lists, BOMs.
• Lead data migration (LTMC/LSMW/BODS) for equipment, locations, task lists, measurement points, and historical orders.

4) Testing, Cutover & Support

• Own UT/SIT/UAT planning, scripts, and defect triage.
• Define cutover plans (initial counters, open notifications/orders, spare part stock alignment).
• Lead go-live & hypercare, stabilize, and implement continuous improvements.

5) Governance, Change & Adoption

• Establish maintenance governance (codes, standards, naming conventions).
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, quick reference guides, and training for planners/technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of SAP experience with 6+ years in SAP PM/EAM; significant hands-on in S/4HANA preferred.
• Proven end-to-end implementation / rollout experience (at least 2–3 full cycles) in construction machinery, automotive, or industrial machinery.
• Strong configuration in:
• Notifications, Orders, Task Lists, Maintenance Plans, Strategies
• Measurement Points/Documents, Catalogs/Codes, Refurbishment, Serial/BOM
• WCM/Permits, Fleet management, and Warranty (nice-to-have)
• Predictive maintenance/CBM exposure (sensor data, thresholding, alerts → notifications).
• Performance tuning and stabilization in high-volume maintenance environments.

Technical & Tooling

• S/4HANA Fiori EAM apps, SAP PM GUI transactions, BAPIs/IDocs (for integrations).
• Experience with Mobile EAM (SAP Asset Manager / other mobile apps), IoT/telematics inputs, and GIS integration (nice-to-have).
• Ability to write clear Functional Specs and partner with ABAP/integration teams.
• Basic understanding of BTP/Integration Suite, AIF, and PI/PO/CIG for interfacing.

• Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and ability to make design trade-offs under operational constraints.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial), Supply Chain, or IT.
• SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM certification preferred.
• TPM/RCM frameworks, ISO 14224, or CMRP/CRE (nice-to-have).
