Senior Consultant – HCM Payroll
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant – HCM Payroll to lead and support end-to-end payroll implementations, enhancements, and support activities. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP HCM Payroll, statutory compliance, and integration with other HR modules, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Implementation & Support
- Lead end-to-end SAP HCM Payroll implementations and support engagements
- Configure and customize payroll schemas, rules, and wage types
- Manage payroll processing cycles, retro runs, and payroll controls
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with statutory requirements
Functional & Technical Expertise
- Handle payroll-related configurations including taxes, deductions, benefits, and reimbursements
- Work on payroll testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) and defect resolution
- Manage payroll-related integrations with FI, Time Management, and other HR modules
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Gather and analyse business requirements from HR and payroll stakeholders
- Translate business needs into functional specifications
- Coordinate with technical teams for developments, enhancements, and interfaces
- Provide functional guidance and mentoring to junior consultants
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to country-specific statutory and legal payroll requirements
- Support audits, reconciliations, and payroll validations
- Document payroll processes, configurations, and user guides
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and HR operations
- Experience with country-specific payrolls (India payroll preferred)
- Good understanding of SAP HCM integrations and data flows
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll
- Experience in at least one end-to-end payroll implementation
- Prior experience in AMS / support projects is a plus

- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to support critical payroll timelines
Education & Certifications
- Graduation Degree
- SAP HCM Payroll certification preferred
