The team
As a member of the Operation, Industry and domain solutions team you will embark on an exciting and fulfilling journey with a group of intelligent and innovative globally aware individuals.
We work in conjuncture with various institutions solving key business problems across a broad-spectrum roles and functions, all set against the backdrop of constant industry change.
Key Responsibility Areas
Data Standards & Interoperability Specialist (Technical Lead)
• Audit existing standards notified at egovstandards.gov.in (23 MDDS standards, 25 guidelines, 19 frameworks) and map gaps across domains
• Develop a domain-wise standards roadmap covering certificates, registries, APIs, and metadata schemas for the ~50 Ministries and Departments in scope
• Design and oversee deployment of data wrappers and lightweight adapters for legacy government systems to enable standard-compliant data sharing
• Coordinate with NIC and line Ministries for development of missing MDDS standards under NDGC oversight
• Define API design specifications aligned with API Setu and NAPIX architecture; ensure all new systems and databases are API-first by design
• Review and certify compliance of Ministry/Department systems with prescribed egovernance standards; report non-compliance with justifications
• Liaise with MoSPI for statistical data standards and with domain Ministries for sector specific standards in Agriculture, Health, Transport, and Finance
• Support MoRTH-style Data Sharing Policy formulation by providing technical annexures on data formats and API specifications
• Track all 6 standardization projects and report technical progress to the Team Lead monthly
Key Skills
• API design, documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), and lifecycle management
• Data modelling, schema design, and metadata management
• Systems integration and middleware development
• Technical writing for standards documentation and compliance frameworks
• Collaborative working with non-technical government stakeholders
Education Details
· B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related engineering discipline (essential)
· M.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Information Systems (desirable)
· Certifications in API Management (MuleSoft, Apigee), Data Architecture, or Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) (desirable)
· Training in e-governance standards frameworks (W3C, ISO 19115, DCAT) (advantageous)
Experience
· Minimum 8–10 years in technical roles involving government IT systems, enterprise data architecture, or digital infrastructure
· Hands-on experience designing and deploying REST/SOAP APIs, API gateways, and integration middleware
· Experience with metadata standards, data dictionaries, and taxonomies in large organisations or government settings
· Prior work on NIC-developed platforms, state e-governance portals, or national DPI components is highly desirable
· Familiarity with MDDS guidelines, IndEA (India Enterprise Architecture) framework, GIGW, and e-Governance standards
· Experience building or integrating with legacy government systems (legacy RDBMS) - desirable
