Your work profile

As a Manager at Deloitte you are responsible to lead, manage, and support enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms in on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, automation, security, performance, and lifecycle management of OpenShift platforms, supporting business-critical applications in regulated environments. 

 

 

  • Serve as the technical SME and platform lead for OpenShift environments.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain OpenShift clusters in on-premises environments.
  • Manage OpenShift platform components including Operators (OLM), Machine Config Operator (MCO), Cluster Version Operator (CVO), Image Registry, Ingress Controllers, Routes, and etcd.
  • Administer Kubernetes resources including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, PVs, and PVCs.
  • Perform cluster backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Monitor cluster health, availability, capacity, and performance using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
  • Troubleshoot platform, application, networking, and storage-related issues.
  • Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, scaling, and performance tuning.
  • Support production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Implement platform security controls including RBAC, SCC, authentication/authorization, certificate management, secrets management, and platform hardening.
  • Configure and manage OpenShift networking components such as OVN-Kubernetes/OpenShift SDN, Routes, Ingress Controllers, Network Policies, DNS, and Load Balancer integrations.
  • Manage persistent storage solutions including Storage Classes, PVs, PVCs, NFS, SAN/NAS, Ceph, and CSI-based storage integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Terraform.
  • Support and integrate CI/CD and GitOps solutions using tools such as ArgoCD, OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton), and Jenkins.
  • Integrate OpenShift with enterprise monitoring, logging, container registry, security scanning, and identity management solutions.
  • Work closely with development teams to optimize application deployments and platform utilization.
  • Design and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for OpenShift platforms.
  • Support change management, upgrades, and production releases with minimal downtime.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, architecture documents, and RCA reports.
  • Collaborate with Linux, Network, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.

 

  

Key skills required: 

  • Education-Any Bachelors
  • 7–10 years of overall IT experience with at least 5–6 years of hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP 4.x) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing production OpenShift clusters in on-premises environments.
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture, Operators, OLM, MCO, CVO, etcd, networking, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift security, RBAC, SCC, platform hardening, and container security.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or Loki.
  • Strong Linux (RHEL) administration skills.
  • Experience with Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Terraform automation.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD and GitOps platforms such as ArgoCD, Tekton, or Jenkins.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • OpenShift and Kubernetes certifications (RHCSA OpenShift, CKA, CKAD, or equivalent) are preferred.
