The team

The Director of Digital Commerce will serve as a high-impact senior leader within our Deloitte Marketing, Commerce & Product practice. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology architecture, and customer experience. You will lead large-scale digital commerce transformations, architecting modern B2B and B2C solutions for Fortune 500 clients. As a Director, you are an executive leader responsible for driving business development, managing high-value client relationships, and scaling our talent pool.

Key skills required: 

  • Business Development: Originating, scoping, and winning new client engagements. Driving revenue across the digital commerce pipeline.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serving as a trusted executive advisor to C-suite stakeholders (CEOs, CMOs, CDOs) to guide their enterprise commerce roadmap.
  • Delivery Leadership: Overseeing multiple, cross-functional delivery teams across complex, end-to-end commerce transformation life cycles.
  • Strategic Visioning: Authoring bespoke frameworks for global omni-channel growth, marketplace strategies, personalization, and customer acquisition.
  • Practice Building: Designing cutting-edge digital commerce offerings and championing internal training, methodology, and asset development.
  • Talent Development: Mentoring, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing culture of senior managers, architects, and consultants.

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Minimum of 14 + years of professional experience. A strong background must include enterprise e-commerce platform leadership.
  • Education: BE, MBA or an advanced degree from a good and recognized academic institution.
  • Industry Domain: Proven success across Consumer Products, Retail, Life Sciences, or B2B manufacturing verticals.
  • Technical Architecture: Deep domain knowledge of leading enterprise commerce ecosystems such as SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe/Magento, or modern headless/MACH architectures.
  • Operational Knowledge: Demonstrated command of omnichannel operations, order management (OMS), complex product information management (PIM), and digital marketing funnels.
