As Associate Director in our Cyber Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

 

Preferred Knowledge

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Wargaming and Simulation Specialist to design, develop, and execute advanced cyber wargames, red team scenarios, and simulation-based training environments. The role will enhance organizational resilience by testing defensive postures, analysing adversary tactics, and preparing stakeholders for real-world cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cyber operations, threat modelling, and simulation environments, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Wargame Design & Execution

  • Develop, plan, and conduct cyber wargames and simulation exercises tailored to organizational objectives and threat landscapes.
  • Create realistic adversary playbooks, scenarios, and injects that mimic nation-state, criminal, and insider threats.
  • Facilitate tabletop and live-fire exercises with technical teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Simulation & Environment Development

  • Build, configure, and maintain cyber ranges, simulation platforms, and testbeds to replicate real-world IT/OT/ICS/Cloud environments.
  • Integrate threat intelligence and current adversary TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) into simulation models.
  • Leverage tools such as cyber ranges, emulation frameworks, and red/blue team tooling to simulate realistic attack/defense dynamics.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Assess organizational resilience and incident response capabilities through after-action reviews.
  • Produce comprehensive reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for improving security posture.
  • Track and measure effectiveness of wargames in terms of readiness, detection, and response capabilities.

Collaboration & Training

  • Partner with threat intelligence, red team, blue team, and policy groups to align wargames with strategic priorities.
  • Support workforce development by creating training modules and immersive learning environments.
  • Provide strategic input to leadership on gaps, risks, and evolving threat scenarios.

 

Required Knowledge

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, red teaming, cyber ranges, or threat simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with cyber ranges, emulation frameworks, and adversary simulation platforms (e.g., CALDERA, AttackIQ, Cuckoo Sandbox, Scythe, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, cyber kill chain, and adversary emulation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident response, penetration testing, or security operations.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills for both technical and executive audiences.

 

Certifications

Certifications like ECIH v2, CHFI, GCIH or GCIA is preferred.
