Responsibilities:
Looking for highly skilled Database Architect (DBA) with deep expertise in PostgreSQL to design, manage, and optimize our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of PostgreSQL databases. This role involves working closely with development teams to design database solutions that meet both application requirements and best practices for data management and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage high-performance, scalable PostgreSQL database systems.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other optimization techniques.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and disaster recovery through effective backup strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms.
- Monitor database performance and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Implement best practices for database architecture, including partitioning, sharing, and clustering.
- Perform regular database health checks, patching, and version upgrades.
- Manage users, roles, and database access permissions to ensure data security.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest PostgreSQL features and advancements to improve database performance and scalability
- Proven experience as a Database Architect or DBA, with expertise in PostgreSQL.
- Strong proficiency in designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with database replication, partitioning, clustering, and sharding.
- Proficiency in query tuning, performance optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL-specific features such as PL/pgSQL, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Experience with PostgreSQL backup and restore processes, including logical and physical backups.
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools and techniques
- Experience with database migration strategies and tools
