The Team
The Workday AMS team sits within the broader Workday teams. The Deloitte team provides the full range of services for clients from the initial planning stages, through full system implementation to ongoing support. The Deloitte Workday team are not purely implementors as the service goes beyond to ensure our clients get the most benefit from their Workday solution. For the Workday AMS team, this means not just fixing issues but providing advisory and guidance on ways to optimize and enhance the Workday experience.
As a Workday AMS Functional Consultant, you will be a key member of the Application Management Services (AMS) team, responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality, configuration, and utilization of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role combines deep knowledge of HR processes with the ability to configure and optimize Workday to meet organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Development and Optimization:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex integrations between Workday and external systems using Workday Integration Cloud (WIC) and other tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Advanced Report Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced custom reports and dashboards within Workday using Report Writer and other reporting tools.
- Provide expertise in data extraction and analysis to support business reporting needs.
- System Optimization and Performance Management:
- Conduct system performance analyses, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations.
- Lead efforts to ensure the scalability and reliability of the Workday system.
- Technical Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Workday integrations, reports, and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective problem resolution.
- Security and Access Control:
- Lead the design and implementation of role-based access control (RBAC) and security measures within Workday.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Workflow Automation and Business Process Configuration:
- Design and implement advanced business process configurations and workflows within Workday.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Release Management and Change Coordination:
- Lead the technical aspects of Workday releases, including testing, deployment, and rollback planning.
- Manage change management processes and communication strategies for technical changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand evolving business needs.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in technical configuration and support of Workday HCM.
- Workday Integration Certification is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Workday Integration Cloud, Workday Studio, and Report Writer.
- Should have minimum 2-3 Years of Workday Integration and/or support experience on technical domain
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer

- Good knowledge and experience with Cloud Connectors, CCW, EIB, DT's, XML/ XSLT, and Report Writer.
- Proven experience with Web Services API's, XML, XSLT, and XPath.
- Must be able to resolve incidents and cases and provide production/warranty support.

Desired Skills
- Experience with additional Workday modules such as Benefits, Time Tracking, or Absence Management.
- Familiarity with Workday calculated fields and data transformation tools.
